Wash and chop your ingredients. Unless the fruit is small, like berries, it is best not to put whole fruits in a juicer. For fruits, especially citrus, peel away tough outer skins, peels and pith. They can add bitter and unpleasant flavors to your juice. However I do prefer apples with the skin on. Remove any seeds and hard pits, too, especially those in stone fruits.
Line the pulp collection bin of your juicer with plastic wrap first. After juicing your items, just pull the wrap out and throw it, pulp and all, into the trash.
Depending on which juicer you have, you’ll either place all the ingredients in the feed chute before powering it up, or you may place them in as it is working. If you are pushing the ingredients into your blender, be careful not to push too hard, as this can damage the motor.
