October marks the month where Autumn is well underway. Seasons are changing and so is life!

October is special to me for many reasons; being my birth month and the beginning of Autumn it has always symbolised something new. The arrival of autumn brings us changes - some slow, some quick. The leaves start to brown and the temperature drops. In the seasons changing we are reminded of the continuity and consistency of life.

Whether we like it or not change is gonna come. Sometimes we find change difficult, we want to hold on to what was or are afraid of the uncertainty of what is to come. Although we cannot always know what exactly is coming, there is comfort to be found in knowing that things will always change. The browning of leaves remind us that everything has a time to end, but knowing that eventually there will be new green leaves in their place is comfort that change also allows for new life. There is power to be found in embracing change, embracing the shedding of what once was to allow the birth of what is to come. This October I am really focusing on allowing myself to let go of what once was in order to give myself space to welcome the new. Taking time to focus on all the peace, joy, love and happiness I want to experience and making space to welcome it in my life. Although we are saying goodbye to the warmth of Summer, and goodbye to what once was. The laws of life tell us that Summer will come again, and what we have lost will be replaced. When that time does come it will be up to us to make the best of it. So here's to the newness of October. New ways of thinking, new ways of existing and new ways of being.
